It’s official. The Fox Valley Hawks Hockey Club will have a new home beginning in 2017-18. That means the Hawks will be joining the ISHSL North Central League and will be leaving the Suburban Hockey League. This important change opens new doors of opportunities and challenges for our club and its 3 teams. The new league has more than double the clubs and teams as our former league. Last year the North Central League had 28 Varsity Teams in 3 Divisions and 20 Junior Varsity Teams in 2 Divisions.
We are excited by the change for the upcoming season, adding a host of new competition to our club and expanding the reach of our program. With this change, our teams will also expand the number of games being played during league competition, as well as expand into Chicago and northern suburbs for competition. Additionally, our Varsity and JV Blue team will add an additional tournament to their September schedules. Our JV White team will add additional games as well.
We want to thank the Suburban League and appreciate the time and success of our club in the League, with our JV Blue team winning the League Championship the last 2-years in a row and our Varsity team finishing 2nd 2-years in a row. It has been a pleasure working with the league and wish them continued success.
Fox Valley Hawks High School Hockey Club is a team comprised of players from Batavia, Geneva, Kaneland, St. Charles East and St. Charles North High Schools. For more details about the North Central League, please visit their website at http://www.ihshlnorthcentral.com/home.
